As Deputy Head of US, Michelle worked closely with both Markets and NatWest Group leadership teams to coordinate the bank’s strategic objectives, strengthening connectivity and business growth opportunities in the region. She also oversaw NatWest Markets’ US technology, operational and business control functions. As Global Co-Head of Economics, Michelle was responsible for economists in the US, China and India, forecasting growth, inflation, monetary and fiscal policy and interest rates for global and regional economies.
Michelle is the Executive Co-Sponsor of the US Energized Employee network, which leads initiatives in diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, recognition, and well-being. She is a founding member of the NatWest Markets Women’s Network Steering Committee and has taken an active role in helping to create and strengthen the talent development offerings for women across the organization.

Prior to joining the bank, Michelle held roles as Co-Head of the Fixed Income Strategy & Research Group at Prudential Securities, Chief Economist at Sanwa Securities (USA) and Economist with Bear Stearns. Michelle began her professional career as a Research Assistant for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC.
