At FreeAgent, we have a very simple goal: to make accounting and bookkeeping as painless as possible. 

How it all began

FreeAgent was launched in 2007 by three freelancers - Roan Lavery, Ed Molyneux and Olly Headey - who were frustrated with the mess and stress of bookkeeping and wanted a better method of managing their business admin. 

FreeAgent had a very simple goal: to make accounting and bookkeeping as painless as possible.

In 2018, FreeAgent was acquired by NatWest Group, the culmination of a business journey that previously included a successful £1m equity crowdfunding round and public listing on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
