1939

Here Princess Elizabeth, aged 13, passes Drummonds branch and Trafalgar Square with her father King George VI, her mother Queen Elizabeth and sister Princess Margaret. The Royal Family were returning to London in July after a trip to Canada and the USA. 

1953

These photographs from the archive show bank branches along the Coronation parade route through London, including Drummonds and the National Bank on Whitehall.

Branches all over the UK were decorated for the event, including the Matlock branch of Williams Deacons Bank.

1954

In this photograph the new Royal Family - Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Princess Anne – pass Drummonds on Trafalgar Square as they return from a world tour. 

1955

The Queen walking past a temporary branch of Westminster Bank at an agricultural fair.

2005

Her Majesty also opened our Gogarburn building.   

2012

This commemorative note was printed for Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
