Angela Byrne is Interim Chief Executive Officer, Retail Banking at NatWest. Angela is responsible for overseeing the Retail bank’s overall strategy, operations and performance. In addition to this role, she is also responsible for our Payments Centre of Expertise and NatWest Boxed.
Angela and her teams lead the innovation that enhances the experience of NatWest’s 19 million customers while driving financial performance and ensuring the bank operates within regulatory frameworks.
Prior to stepping into this role, Angela was Managing Director of NatWest’s Customer Propositions and Journeys team. Angela’s teams have delivered front to back digitisation to create seamless customer journeys and deliver sustainable growth. This has increased income and reduced costs while improving NPS and market share.
Angela promotes a culture of intellectual curiosity and is also a major advocate of the progression of young female executives within the UK banking industry.
