By offering our colleagues access to explore our internal GenAI platform, the AI Digital Enabler for NatWest, they’ll get the chance to experiment with using AI technology in a simple, secure and controlled environment aimed at helping them work smarter.
We’re also rolling out Microsoft Copilot Chat, a GenAI tool that uses smart AI to answer questions, generate content and find information our colleagues need quickly.
Commenting on the bank-wide rollout of the tools, our Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Zachery Anderson said:
“Empowering our colleagues with the right AI tools at their fingertips not only helps us to simplify how we operate and serve our customers better, but equips our people with essential skills to work smarter and unlock their full potential. Rolling out access at such scale and pace, in a secure and safe environment, is a huge feat, and provides a launchpad for reusing this capability for other use cases across the bank.”
We think of our GenAI platform as an internal version of ChatGPT. It can help colleagues with things like summarising documents, problem-solving, content drafting support and helping brainstorm ideas.
As both tools are developed, we’ll be exploring the collective impact they can have on our colleagues to help free up more time to help them focus on delivering even better customer outcomes.
A full training programme is being launched alongside the tools’ rollout to help colleagues get the best out of them and use them in a compliant way.
This isn’t our colleagues’ first taster of GenAI capability. Last year we launched a GenAI powered version of our digital HR assistant Ask Archie, to help colleagues get answers to their HR queries quicker and more efficiently.
