After almost ten years as the Group CAO, Simon McNamara will step down from our Executive Committee and leading the Services business. Simon has agreed to take on a role as a Senior Advisor to NatWest Group.
Simon has led the transformation of our technology and Services proposition as we’ve developed into an innovative, data-led organisation.
Simon said: "It’s been a privilege to work with thousands of outstanding individuals on a journey of transformation that’s seen us become a technology-led, digital, safe and secure bank for our customers. I can see there is more we can do to establish the bank as a leading player in the digital field and I’m excited by the possibilities and opportunities for our business."
CEO Alison Rose said: "Simon has been a hugely valued member of my team and the Group’s Executive Committee over the last ten years. His insight, counsel and challenge have been of great benefit to me, the ExCo and colleagues all around our organisation. I am delighted that he will continue to work with us as a Senior Advisor."
Simon will continue to run our Services business in the interim.
