Current Royal Bank of Scotland £50 note

This design was introduced in August 2021. It features a portrait of the Scottish education campaigner and pioneer Flora Stevenson (1839-1905) on one side and an illustration of ospreys on the other. 

Other design features include a glen check tweed pattern; lady’s bedstraw plant; a view of Randolph Crescent, Edinburgh, where Stevenson lived; and a quotation from the writer Neil Munro (1863-1930).
