Sapte, Muspratt, Banbury, Nix & Co (1788-1859), established in London, was a past constituent of NatWest.
Brief history
This private bank was established in 1788 as Vere, Lucadou, Troughton, Lucadou & Smart, by James Vere, John Daniel Lucadou, Bryan Troughton, James Lewis Lucadou and William Smart. The bank traded throughout from 77 Lombard Street. Bryan Troughton died in 1799, John Daniel Lucadou in 1802 and James Vere in 1822. In 1859 the bank amalgamated with Fullers & Co, bankers of London, to form Fuller, Banbury, Nix & Mathieson.
