Brief history
This private bank was established in about 1800 as James Hordern, George Molineu, J Bishton and William Brett. It was known as Brett & Co by 1801; Birch & Moore by 1817; and William Moore by 1829.
It was acquired by National Provincial Bank of England in 1858.
